Spirits are high and the atmosphere is electric here at Stead Air Field in Reno. The weather couldn’t be better, pilots and crews are making final adjustments to their engines and those who have completed their qualifications are sitting pretty, buffing and polishing their birds.
The RARA (Reno Air Racing Association) Staff are busy with the enormous logistical tasks required to ensure the air field is in tip-top shape, the race pilots on track, pylon judges assigned, air show and performers practiced and scheduled, volunteers and vendors in place, escorts for the VIP’s, security measures, etc., etc., all so that the loyal Racing Fans (all 210,000 of you) will have a fantastic and safe event!
Good Luck and Godspeed!

I don’t know If I said it already but …This blog rocks! I gotta say, that I read a lot of blogs on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say I’m glad I found your blog. Thanks, 🙂
A definite great read..Jim Bean
